Spring is here at at last, when I finally emerge from my winter hidey-hole! The extreme cold and humidity here in the Beaujolais kept me inside, hibernating with only my coffee and knitting needles for comfort. Here is this winter's crop of knits:
As life becomes more complicated I turn once again to my most therapeutic and addictive hobby, not to mention my favourite one, knitting! I've been able to finish two smallish-medium projects, and since my new favourite yarn is merino, both projects are in merino wool.
Knitting happens to be more child-friendly in my life than quilting, since the sewing machine has to share the kitchen table with the meals and snacks, whereas I can whip out my knitting basket whenever, wherever, snack or not.
Knitting has been taking over my crafting activities as summer has arrived and with it vacations to beaches and such. Yarn and needles are so much easier to transport than a sewing machine and cutting table!
